VINTAGE 1980’s Yamaha Recording Custom Bop Outfit in Matte Cherry Burst

- Details & Notes: An oddly endearing players Yamaha Recording Custom bop outfit. This is a very modded kit, yet has tons of mojo. For starts, the bass drum has been altered with the tom mount placement, moving it forward and exposing extra unoriginal holes. There is no resonant hoop or hardware for the hoop, so it can be assumed the drum was played without a front head and maybe with a pillow for a funk or hip hop bass drum (which it is great at!). The finish of both the exterior and interior of the drum have ample scratching which indicated the bass drum was sued for nesting on the go. The 12″ tom is in the best condition with the least scratching and is completely original. The 14″ was almost certainly originally a hanging tom based on the filled holes that match Yamaha YESS mounting hardware, but the legs installed where placed in the proper positions. Plenty of scuffing on this drum. Despite the flaws, there is plenty of character to this kit and lots of mileage that can be coveredon these drums.
