Ludwig 12/14/20/5×14″ Standard S-300 Compact Drum Set – Red Mist

A Ludwig Standard kit dating to the late 1960s/early ’70s. 8×12″ tom, 14×14″ floor tom, 14×20″ kick drum, and 5×14″ snare drum in red mist. The Standard line was an alternative, affordable offering from Ludwig at the time, constructed using the same shell construction as Ludwig’s professional lines, with a lighter hardware option, and limited number of special finishes. This kit is in overall very good working order, with some small cosmetic blemishes on the finish, including one isolated but more severe spot on the bass drum where it looks like the finish was melted a bit. All Granitone interiors. The kit sounds full and funky with a lovely transparency to the overall tone.
