VINTAGE 1970’s Made in Japan Pre-Tama Royal Star Acrylic “Crystar” in Clear Acrylic

- Details & Notes: Sometimes cool is an understatement. Clear Acrylic pre Tama “Royal Star” drums. Configured in classic old school sizes of 14×20, 9×13, and 16×16. The drums are over all inreally goodshape, and show no signs of cracking of seam splitting except for a small crack under the tom mount of the 13″ where thetom arm would have entered the shell. Typically most acrylic kits use wooden bass drum hoops, however these drums make use of acrylic hoops. Back to the 13″ tom, there are three extra holes under the tom mount from the mount either being moved or a different mount being installed. The drum would have had an internal muffler but it is not present. The 16″ does have the bass of the internal muffler, but the part is chipped and incomplete. The rail mount is still attached to the bass drum, though the arm and top are missing. You can see on the bass drum that it came with what would have been an attachment for a mounted cymbal arm, though only the base remains. These drums have a clear tone, and tons of projection, with a lovely classic vibe.
