VINTAGE 1960’s Gretsch Progressive Jazz Outfit in Satin Aqua Flame

- Details & Notes: A beautiful player’s Gretsch Progressive Jazz in Satin Aqua Flame. Classic sizes of 14×20, 8×12, and the rare 14×14 floor tom shine in any situation you put them in tuned either high or low, but are especially perfect in the classic bebop tuning range. The drums have a bit of standard wear typical of Satin Flame, such as spider-webbing and a few cracks and chips, notably one on the bass drum where a chip has come off about half the size of a dime. The drums have been rewrapped but seemingly in authentic era correct Satin Flame based on the feel and wear of the wrap, likely done in the 60’s or 70’s and possibly with factory Gretsch wrap. The set has only one badge, which is on the 12″ tom, and the 14″ and bass drum appear to never have had the badges even reinstalled. Internal mufflers on the bass drum and 12″ tom only. The railmount worksfine, but is aftermaket MIJ and the batter side hoop is non original. Besides road wear and quirks, this is an amazing kit to play and truly evokes the Great Gretsch Sound of the era.
