This popular snare drum, the 14×5 Chrome Over Brass Supraphonic, was brought back in the 1990s as a reissue of the legendary 1959-61 Brass 400 model, also known as the “Super Ludwig.” It features a seamless brass shell which is 1.2mm thick with a sleek chrome-plated finish, triple-flanged hoops, and a Keystone badge. This is a “perfect” snare drum, right?

This is the Super Ludwig kicked up a notch! Upgrades include chrome over brass hoops, a P86C throwoff, and 8 lugs instead of 10!
